ASSMBLR inventor, Richard Palfrey BEng, has worked in engineering education since 2002. ASSMBLR is a product of years of experience designing kit to deliver engaging robotics activities, which for many years Richard provided for Imperial College London.
Richard has developed ASSMBLR with engineers, graduates, undergraduates, teachers, school children - and his own children!
The vision is now a reality: fortunate to have been given a lifeline by family STEM business Exscitec, Richard has been able to bring this exciting resource into production and into many more classrooms.
For the 11th year, Richard is working with the Royal Albert Hall's Evolution STEM Outreach Programme 2018 - including with Partners Cirque du Soleil and Rolls Royce... great ASSMBLR fans! ASSMBLR replaces previous beta version kits, and the schools and engineers are excited to get to work with it with another cohort of budding young engineers!
Recent pre-launch exhibitions have earned ASSMBLR great praise and momentum. Content development and production has been scaled up and 2018 is set to be a busy year for the ASSMBLR team.
